Menagerie lions are treated to strange ind sometimes attractive spectaeles lowadays. In Paris the serpentine lance has been frequently performed in the cages of the supposed monarch of the desc-rt exhibited at fairs. At Talline, in the Isere, two barbers and a ahoemaker entered a cage of lions yesterday, aecompanied by the tamer, in order to win a wager. One of the baroers sat down in a chair, was lathered oy his colleague and shaved by the shoemaker, who wielded the razor with he most consummate coolness and skill.
