Wmission and authority of the city of Ann Arbor is hereby granted to the Ann Arbor Street Railway Company and to its buoO6tsors and assigns, to construct, own, malntaln, and opérate additionsand extensions to their present Electric Street Railway system on and alon the street hereinafter mentioned, with all necessary tracks, turnouts, side tracks,''' switches and turn tables,and to run car thereon for the transportation of passenger and their baggage,and to opérate thereon Street Uailway cars under the conditions and in the manner limited in a oertaio ordinance passed in the Comraon Council on the Klth day of August 1888, and the amendment thoreto. Section 2. - The Streets, Avenues and Highways, upon, along and over whioh said additions and extensions of said. Street llailway are to be constructed, maintained and opera ted are as followB, tliat is to say: Commeneing in Kingsley street at its intersection with Detroit street, thence t-astcrly along Kinjrsley street to State street, theuce northerly along State street to its intersection with Carey street, thence westerly along Carey Street to fntersect with its present line on Carey streetat the Michigan Central Depot. And also in State Btreet at its intersection with North Uuiverelty Avenue, thence northerlv along State street to its intersection with Kincsley street. Section -i. - This franchise is t-anted upon the expreM condition that said Street líailway Company, its successors and astigns shall and will construct malntaln and opérate íts said additions and exteotions in all thinga according to the provisions of, and conditions coiTtained in said Rallway I kmpanys original Iranchise and ainendinents therefos and that said and extensión; and every ol them shall be in all thins oongtructed and in f uil operation withln one year (rom the date of the passage of this ordinanee, and that a failure lo construct anyor either of ,-aid additions and extensions in the time aforesaidor in the manner aforesaid shall opérate to void this franchise relating thei-eto, without any notice or action taken on tl. e i art of said City of Ann Arbor, or any ofticer thereof.
