An engine on the Lehigh & Hudson railway blew up near Wuiwick, N. Y. Two men were instantly killed and two others Jied later from their injuries. Conductor Martin O'Neall and i his brakeman, James Sloan of l'hillipsburg, were in the cab. The train of 30 cars had reached the top of the grade and as the train started down cold water was doubtless run into the boiler. Brakeman Morris Heil savv the explosión. The heavy boiler went 50 feet in the air and feil 25 feet from the tracks, learing the engine truck uninjured. Heil and Flagman Adams began setting brakes. The train ran a mile and a half before it could be stopped.
