Mr. Bryan still caite himself a "blmetallist," though he bas never even attempted to answer the question: "In tlie history of this country tas there ever been a time when gold aad sliver circulated upon equal terms as full legal tender money, with the mint# open to tbe free and unlimited ootnage oí Both?" There never was such a time. Free and unlimited coinage at 16 to 1 has never, in any country, at any time, given a bimetallic currency. Mr. Bryan is a silver monometallist in faot, wbatever he raay think himself to be in theory.
