Pearls are very popular, epecially with some women. Numbered witb clocks glven to please are some in opalescent onyx cases. Punch cups in all eorts of odd sbapes have appeared in Venetian and Bohemlan glass. Gold safety pins, large and small, have found their way into luxurioasly equlpped nurseries. Very dalnty are the glass nnger bowls in varying shades oí color and apparently overlald with lace. There are button hooks and shoehorns of gold, for women who aspire to toilet articles in expensive form. Sword paper cuttera ot plerced süver and tortolse Shell are attractlve articles for the tidy desk and Ubrary table. Vasee fern dishes and table centerpieces ot ruby glass, with gilt ornamentatloa, are attractive features in Bohemian glasaware. Very handsome are brushes and hand-mlrrors with backs of carved tortoise shell, enriched with apphed floral designa in gold. Small gold combs, set with diamonde and other gems, are still in demand foi oveniag wear. On the street good dressers wear combs and hairpins of tortolse shell.
