Tho national irrigation congress will meet in fifth annual session at Phenix, A. T., Doe. 15-18. Stndy tho applioation of water in irrigating for its permanent as well as present results. The Nebraska Farmer claims that the state will have the largest and best crops of all kinds ever grown there. It is reported that in 1895 thero were 855 creameries in Iowa. Only 4 of the 99 counties have none. Wisconsin's tobáceo erop is said to be oí prime quality. Of flve different methods of distributing water on grass land distributing by-a network of small ditches gave tho best results at the Utah station. A new milking machine, invented by De Laval, is introdneed under the name "Lactator."
