Prominent Ex-confederate Dead

St. Louis, Dec. 29.- Capt. William P. Barlow, secretary of the ex-Confederate Homo Association of Missouri, is dead in this city. The deceased was bom in New York City in June, 1838. He fought in the confedérate ranks durini the civil war. After the war he va on the editorial staff of the Mobile Reg r, and 'was prominent in politics in thut city. He returned to St. Louis lu 1871'. He was appointed secretary of t-iie ex-Confederate Home Association in 1889 and held the posrtion until his death.
