If carbon hydrates are fed in excess the hens bscomo fat and will uot lay well. The following are recomraended as usefnl poultry foods : Cows' I railk, barley middlings, bnckwheat brau, barley bran, rye bran, ooarso whcat bran, cottou seed, millet, wheat, lurnips, oabbage, white clover, red clover and alsike. Cut green bones aro also considered valuable. If they are not easily obtainable cooked meat (liver, luiigs, cto. ) may be snbstituted. Groen foods of some soit are also necessary and cut cloveliay is recominended.
