The Register makes the following Announcement to Pupils and Teachers of the Public Schools of Washtenaw Gounty: Having made arrangements with the Stenographic nstitute for a number of Certificates of Scholarship, we offer the following prizes which amount to forty dollars. For the best drawn map of Washtenaw County not less than 18x24 inches in size, showing the townships, cities and villages, railroads, rivers, and principal lakes, FIRST PRIZE, SCHOLARSHIP $15.00 SECOND " " - - 12.00 THIRD " " - - 8.00 FOÜRTH " " - - 5.00 Bach of these Certificates of Scholarship will be accepted as so much cash upon presentation by the party winning it and entolling fot a complete course in Shorthandand Typewiiting at the School. Here is an excellent opportunity fot some lively competition. The valué oí these prizes should induce a lar ge number to compete. These maps should be presented at the Fair Grounds on the first day of the Fair and regularly en= tered the same as any other article is entered for a premium. As these prizes are intended especially for country and village schools, the schools of Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti are excluded from taking part in the contest.
