Ironton, O., was threatened wlth de struction by a flre which started at the sawmill of Newman & Speneerr Before the fire department reached the scène the ñames hacl extended to the lumber yards. The long drouth had made everything so combustible the James spread to the Penn lumber yards and beyond, and about 20 fam: ilies were soon render.ed hoineless.
