TJntil quite recently there were twelve casks of heek, in the Germán city of Bremen, christened the Twelve Apostles, which had been in the possession of the mnicipality for two centuries or more. It was the privilege of every rateyayer who entertained a diatinguishtüJ guest, or had a serious illness in Ij i& house, to apply for a botüe filled from one of these famous Aums; and it has been computed that, taking out of storage and other expenses into consideration, the cost of BUCh a bottle was not less than $150,000.
