Eight thousand five hundred pioces of baggage were handled at the Anti Arbor depots during the month of September and only one trunk was lost. This one was iinally reeovered minus part of its contents and it has been ascertained that the trunk was stolen from the depot here in the city and not lost through any error on the part of the railroad employés. The men who tole the trunH were apprehended and iodged in jail. The two men who stole the trunk, took itto Toledo and aíter disposing of I some oí the contents at a pawn Bhop, were arrested on suspicion. Commun ioation between the pólice forces of ledo and Chicago then led to tne aiboovery of the tact that the man who bought the clothes in Chicago had come to Ann Aroor. Then it was an easy matter to wire a description of the trunk and contenta from Ann Arbor to Toledo and soon the two suspacts were behind the hars in the Washtenaw county jail. The assortment of baggagc that is thrown olï at the Ann Arbor depots varI ies from a iifty dollar trunk down to a wooden box and occasionally a studett arrivés with all liis worldly goods in a carpet bas.
