During1 a performance in Kobinson's opera house at Cincinnati, the central trusa of the ceilintr, 8Q feet long1 and 30 feet wide, feil with a crash and with slight warning. The house was fairly well filled with peoule and the rush for the doors at the first sounds choked the isles and the ceiling feil upon scores of people Mrs. Geo. Kleeman, Miss Lucy Cohen aud an ïinknown man. Five other persons were dangerously injured and at least a dozen more quite seriously hart. The building was m old one and the trusses of the dome had rotted. Later - Mrs. Alfred White has died froin injuries roceived, James and Wm. Jordán encounterod two roiigh looking characters as they approaclied their home, near Muskogêe, I. T. , after spending the nig-ht with a stek friend. When James asked what they were doing there the fellows shot hiin dead; then Wm. pulled his gein and killed both of them. They were identifled as Moses Miller and liill Wilson, noted desperadoes. John Armstrong Chanler, the divorced husbahd of Amelie Rives and a grandson of John Jacob Astor, is reported to be insane in the Bloomingdale asyhirn ;it New York.
