A very severe snowstorm with the characteristics of a wild western blizzard swept over Colorado, Nebraska and the Dakotas. Tremendous damage was done to telegraph and telephone wires and traffic on street ears and railroads was greatly interfered with. At Colorado Springs the snow and sleet we re blown so furiously that it was impossible to see across the street. The storm carne so suddeuly that ranchmen diii not have an opportunity to shelter their stock. Rain had been steadilv falling for 15 hours in South Dakota when it suddenly turued to snow, accompanied by a severe northwest wind, and will cause heavv losses of ranee eattle.
