The New Road

A fresh Ímpetus was given to the new Detroit, Ypsilanti & Arm Arbor railway last week by the granting of a franchise by the Springwell town soard allowing the company to run cara through tbat township. Work has airead y been cornmenced by contractor Michael J. Griffin. It is the eompany's intention to bave offices in all of the towns along the ron te, to carry light freight and to do a suburban expruss business. Negotiations are ■ pending with the United States expresa cocopany whereby it ís believed they wiil establish branch offices in every town along the route, thus enabling the patrons of the road to express inershandise to any patt of the country. The new road will be completed as far as Dearborn within the montll, and will be continued ou to Ann Arbor in the spring.
