'Ward' Visit Is Musical, Not Medical

Sam McDonald, the Dundee music teacher who aroused local and even national interest last year when Dundee students and citizens collected money for his medical bills, is returning to Veterans Hospital tomorrow.

This visit, however, will be musical rather than medical. McDonald will bring the elementary chorus of Dundee Community Schools to the hospital to sing for the patients at 1:15 p.m. in the hospital auditorium. This is the same chorus which came to the hospital to sing for McDonald when he was a patient.

McDonald was injured on January 31, 1964, in an auto accident while commuting from his Ann Arbor home to Dundee. While at the hospital he received great number of cards and donations.

McDonald said: "This year, I count it a privilege to be able to perform for some of my friends who are still there."
