Teachers Give New Proposal

No agreements viere reachedl yesterday during the hegotiating I session between the Board of I Education's representatives and] bargainers for the Ann Arborl Edücation Association (AAEA). It was the first negotiating session for the two teams since May 23. The teachers requested that bargaining be suspended during the recent unrest at the hish school. In a new counter-proposal, thel A A E A negotiators decreased their requests f rom $10,000 term life insurance policies to $7,500 policies. The rest of their package remains the same: a salary range for teachers with a 1 lor's de gr e e from $6,500 to $11 050, and for teachers with a ma'ster's degree from $7,150 to $12 350; fuly-paid health and hospitalization insurance, and the continuation of super-maximum (a merit plan of pay increases for veteran teachers).
