School Board Race Has Only One Candidate

Where are the candidates for this year's Ann Arbor Board of Education election? At this time last year, four candidates had officially announced they were running for the three vacant seats on the board which are available each year. A total of nine persons ran for the board seats last year. But, as of today, only Trustee Charles H. Good, who is completing his first term on t h e board, has announced he will be running for one of the seats. The other two members whose terms expire in June - Paul H. Johnson and Joseph T. A. Lee - have announced they will not seek second terms. No other persons have announced their intentions to run, though the schools' Business Mnaager, George Balas, says seven people have taken out petitions for the election.
