Twoof three Aiá Arbdr BóanJ or Education members whose terms expire June 30 will not run for re-election June I 9Trustees Cecil Warner and Henry Johnson, who have both served six years, wül retire at the end of this term. Johnson is vice-president of the school board. 4 Warner served as president in 1971-72. Board President Clarence Dukes said he will run for re-election. Dukes was elected to the board in 1972. Five candidates, in addition to Dukes, have taken out petitions to run for three vacant seats on the nine-member Board of Education. Those who have taken out petitions are D. Stephen McCargar, 211 Bucholz Ct.; Shelley Ettinger, 112 Adams; Jerome EpI stein, 2412 Shannondale; Charles Moodv Sr., 3521 Windemere; and Barbara B. Eldersveld, 520 Hillspur. to run for the Board of Education the ) candidate must be a citizen of the United States, 18 years of age or older, a resident of Michigan and the school district 30 days prior to the election and registered to vote. Petitions are avaüable at the Balas Administration Building, 2555 S. State Rd. Each petition must be signed by not less than 69 and not more than 277 qualified school electors of the district. Candidates must file nominating petitions with the secretary of the board not later than 4 p.m. Monday. Candidates have until 4 p.m. May 15 to withdraw. I Prospective school district voters who I are. not registered have until Monday to I register. The.Ann Arbor City Clerk's ofI fice will be open until 8 p.m. Monday. Township residents must register by 5 p.m. Monday. Absentee ballots may be obtained at the Balas Administration Building between May 21 and June 7. - - - - - - "j--
