The Musúr Performance Trust Funds will make available $11,469 to provide free, live musical programs for I I citizens of Washtenaw and I Livingston Counties during I the 12 months beginning July I 1, according to word received I by Reuel B. Kenyon, presiI dent of Local 625, American Federation of Musicians. Performances, to be anI nounced, will be presented in this área with aid of the I allocation and in cooperation I with Local 625 which is headI quartered in Ann Arbor. I In notifying Kenyon of the 1 allocation, Kenneth F. Raine, I Music Performance Trust I Funds trustee said the aid to I free musical programs in I Washtenaw and Livingston I counties is part of a total of I $7,230,000 to be spent throughI out the U.S. and Canada durI ing the same period. Overall allocations are I about 10 per cent greater this I year than in 1970, he said. I The Music Performance I Trust Funds is a public serI vice organization created and ■ financed by the recording I industries under agreements I with the American Federa'M tion of Musicians. It provides free perfor■ I manees t h r o u g h funds I derived by the periodic 7 7 I ments of the recording indus-l tries, based on a formula I related to their sales.
