Funeral services for James R. Beek, 60, of 321 S. Main, local attorney and author who died early Wednesday at his I office of an apparent heart at;:l tack, will be held at 7:30 p.m. ? today at the Muehlig Funeral I Chapel, with the Rev. Robert E. Sanders officiating. Additional funeral services I will be held at 2 p.m. saturday at the Schuiteman and I DeKuiper Funeral Home in I Fremont, Mich. Burial will follow in Fremont's Maple I Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel today until the time of services. I Memorial contributions may be made to Ann Arbor's First 1 Presbyterian Church, of which he was a member. Mr. Beek was b o r n on I March 6, 1911, in Fremont, a son of Gerret J. and Grace I Rottman Beek. He was a I gradúate of Fremont High I School, Hope College and CalI vin College, and had studied I at the University of Michigan. I He had been a resident of I Ann Arbor for the past 35 I years. In addition tö practicing I law, he wrote books and poeI try and engaged in political I science research. He was auI thor of the book "Bradford's I Trials" which was based on a I Washtenaw County Circuit I Court case, and at the time of I his death had nearly completI ed another book based on a
