Pólice Chief Walfer E. Kfasny, Prosecuting Attorney William F. Delhey and Assistant City Attorney Jerome Farmer w'ere scheduled to meet with University officials late today to discuss a controversial play scheduled here next week. Krasny said a report that his department has "warned" the promoters of "Dionysus in '69" that arrests might be made "is an unauthorized statement." "I have warned no one about anything," Krasny said. "On a complaint of a citizen, we've been checking into the staging of this play. Period. Whatever the prosecuting attorney orders after the investigation is completed we'll do. Or not do. No one has been warned or threatened by my office." "Dionysus in '69" is part of the U-M Creative Arts Festival and the play is scheduled for the Michigan Union ballroom next Sunday and Monday. Promoters of the play say cast members kiss each other and invite "audience participation", with some members of the cast appearing on stage unclothed or partially unclothed. Krasny met in Delhey's office with Farmer this morning and the later meeting with University officials and persons involved in the presentation of the play was set for late afternoon. Delhey said he knew little about the pólice investigation of the play except that the probe is not as vet complete.
