Ponitz Praises Wcc's Boards

Unqualified praise to the past and present membership of Washtenaw Community College's Board of Trustees was voiced by David H. Ponitz in his final statement as the college's president last night. Ponitz, who will become president of Sinclair Community College in Dayton, Ohio, on Feb. 1, said "One of the great pleasures" during his nearly 10 years as WCC's president has been "to deal with a board, from the beginning, made up of quality individuals. "As people have come to the board, they've looked at problems on a nonpartisan basis . . . Each board member has responded conscientiously to the task of trying to represent all of the people, a massive accomplishment."
