A Students' Christian Association social will be held to-morrow evening. It is given by the young people of the Presbyterian Church.
Among the names mentioned in connection with the professorship lately filled by Dr. Palmer, are those of Dr. Herdman, of this city, and Drs. Dwight and Lyster, of Detroit.
Law librarian, Joseph H. Vance is delivering lectures on Jurisdiction citing cases in every state on each important point, so that the student may have something to fit his case, wherever he may settle.
There are tour subscribers of $100 to the gymnasium fund, started by Joe ï. Jacobs, the conditions of which are that 100 subscribers of a like amount be obtained. The Alpha Delta Phi fraternity were the latest subscribers. There is strong hope of raising the $10,000. It looks as if the various classes might contribute $100 each. There is already a fund of $4,000 invested in United States bonds. A thorough canvas will be made, and the students hope to be able to erect a gymnasium without any aid from the legislature.
