On Thursdav of last week a nevv tnal was denied by Judge Kinne in the case of John W. Clark, administrator, vs. Ilannah Gorman. A motion in the case of Jennie Westfall vs. Michigan Central railroad to set aside the verdict of the jury was likewise denied and the defendant was granted a stay of execution ani time to prepare exceptions. Arthur Richardson and James A. McLachlan were made citizens of the United States. Mary J. 3mith was granted a decree of divorce f rom James L. Smith.
