Commencement Music

For the past few years rflusic has been prom ment feature ot commencemeut xercises, and this year promisesto furish the usual entertaining programme. As each year comes round one f eels as tiough all had now been done that could De done to lurnish us with a concert of ot only first-class qualities, but even f unusually rare interest and excelence; and at such a time we wonder what can be done next to equal our presnt opportunities and enjoyments. Ho wever, in this as íh other cases, the demands are met by added zeal and labor, and this year we go a step higher nd enter original work. This year a antata, the words and music of which are original with two members of the graduating class, will be sung by the Amphion Club, assisted by the üniveriity Glee Club, and a f uil orchestra. This we consider a very unusual announcement. not only for ourselves but :or the whole country, and deern it worthy of future comment.
