Yesterday lorenoon, the team of Patick Turne;, becoming frightened at a ooomotive, ran away from the Central Mills, where Mr. Tuomey was unloadng wheat. The horses did not come ín ontact with any obstacle to their rapid roress until they reached Ann street, )etween Fifth and División streets, where they met a carriage driven by Mrs. Adams and containing AIrs. Adams and six year oíd daughter and Mrs. B. F. Granear. The team was unning at a great speed, striking the orse driven by Mrs. Adams in the reast with great forcé i istantly felling t, upsetting the carriage and throwmg be ladies and child iuto the streets. he wagon went on over the borse, urning on one side as it did so, and hus saving the ladies, who miracuously escaped injury. The horse, which belouged to GeorgeOlp was seriasly iujured internally. It lingered ntil afternoon, suffering great agonies, tearing great gashes m its breast in lts onvulsions and lt was flnally killed to ut it out of its misery. It was worth 100. Mr. Tuomey's team were stoped without doing further damage.
