A Good Appointment

Deputy County Clerk Arttiur Brown has been appointed railway mail clerk and given a run on the Michigan Central between Detroit and Chicago, with aaalary of $800 a year. The run is an excellent one affording good opportunities for a raise in salary as the clerk becomes more proflcient in his work. Mr. Brown haa made many friends throughout the councy, who will congratúlate him on his appointment. It is useless for the Aegus to say that ir. is a good one. The new clerk is efficiënt, possesed with a good burnp of order, quick to learn and possessed of a wiry coustitution which will stand hard work. It is unnecessary to state that lie has given up all idea oí being nominated for congress.
