Miss Otilia Becker is home from OhiĆ¼ for h visit. S. Larztill and L. Frost started lat Tuesday for Caro on business. George Gadd, of Ionia, is visiting his father, C. Gadd, this week. Mr. and Mrs, C. Mansfield are at Caro, visiting their son William. Bom on Thursday, Aug. 16, to Mr. and Mrs. H. R. Palmer, a son. Mr. S. C. Warner and family, oi Detroit, are visiting friends in town. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Dewey, of Orion, is visiting at Mrs. Dewey's brother's, Wm. Gadd's. Miss Minnie Kimball, of Big Rapids, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. E. Y. Powell, who is very sick. Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel Glimp started last Tuesday to visit Mrs. Glimp's brother, Mr. Jacobs, in Oceana Co. The Bridgewater farmers' annual festival and picnic took place in F. M. Palmer's grove last Saturday. The speaking and essays were excellent. The Manchester brass band and Baptist choir, of Clinton, furnished excellent music. The president and the members of the committee are entitled to much praise for the pains they have taken to make it 011e ot the very best of picnics.
