The common council held their regular monthly meeting last Monday evening, all the members being present except Aid. Barker. The session was one of the shortest in the history ot the council, and business was quickly dispatched. The finance committee made their report and warrants were ordored drawn on the following funds: The finance committee reported unanimously against allowing tbe bill of C. Joslyn for services. City Treasurer Moore made his report, showing a balance of $1,590.35, distributed in the different funds as follows: City Marshal Sipley reported seven arrests during the month, five f or drunk ennes8 and two for carrying concealed weapons. He also reported the follow ing expenditures for the poor: The plans of the proposed Toledo & Arm Arbor raihvay depot in this city were presentad, and Aid. Spokes moved that the city proceed to open Second street at once, on? (Condition that the company erect a depot,as good or better than tlie plans presented. On motion ol Recorder Bach, tlïe matter was laid upoü the table until the next meeting of the council. The council then adjourned until next Monday evening.
