Jacksonvillk, Fia., Sept. 13. - Yesterday was the most terrible day in the fever history of this state, and the record of new cases is 156 for the twenty-four honrs ended at 6 p. m. , man y more than has oscurred in any one day since the fever commenced. The day was bright and sunny, artd the bot shine on thfc soaked earth is very favorable to the development of yellow fever, and a large increase of the disease is expected for the remainder of the week. The death roll was fearful for a city like this, more than half depopulated. The number was twenty. Total cases to date, 1,203; total number of deatbs, 153. AU tbe nursus here have been put to work, and no more nurses will be received except those who have had the fever. The deatbs were: W. II. Moss, VV. Jonos, P. Lopez, Mr. Gorgan, S. Grant, Mrs. Spearman, Mrs. Cowly, Mrs. HE. Smith, Mrs. Folley, J. Graves, Mr. Jacobs, W. G. Farmer, Julia Jones, V. Frazie, Misa Kdith S'.hnyder, Mr. Jacoby, Mr. Odea, Miss Ida O. Harland, Mr. Sliddeil, Mr. McNear. Residas the above Mr. H. Granthall, a merchant, is reportad doad since the list was made out.
