In spite of the bad weather during fair week in this city and the necessarily lessened attendance, the receipts of the fair haVe proven sufflcient to pay all the premiums in full and all the expenses of the fair this year. If the weather had been propitious, there would have been a large surplus for next year. This is certainly a very encouraging showing and should stir up the directora and patrons of the fair to renewed efforts to make the fair next year exceed in merit the good one of this year, and gain a surplus for the treasury. The premiums have been ordered paid in full this year, and premium takers can now get orders for the payment of the amounts they took by calling upon Secretary Fond. These orders will be cashed upon presentation to the treasurer.
