The general health of this neighborhood is good at present. The various kinds of nuts are plenty in the woods this fall. Clover seed threshing will begin this week, with a fair stock for the threshers to work on. Mr. Wm. Mosher, of Minneapolis, Minnesota, is visiting relatives and f'riends in Ypsilantu More rain is needed and not so much freezing weather or our wheat erop will be slim next year. Potatoes are not turning out as well as farmers anticipated. Quality good but yield very moderate. The democratie rally at the town house in this township was well attended and may be called a great success. A pole seventy feet in height was raised from whicli floats the Cleveland banner. Senator Gorman and Mr. lioyle addressed the meeting and their remarks were well rectived though inferrupted by frequent bursts of" applause. The band in attendance discoursed sume very good mu&ic. :
