Masón City, Iowa, Oct. 29. - Ia some of Ihe smaller towns and cities of Iowa many novel and original methods of evading the prohibitiou law bave been invented, but the most satisfaetory as well as the latest plan devised is that of the conversión of express offices into saloons. Intoxicating drinks are sent over the roads to sinall towns addressed to "Krank James" or some other flctitious person. The express agent, who is in the scheme, takes charge of the package until some thirsty individual comes along and calis for it, giving, of course, the proper name, and, if necessary, being identifled.
