Threats Of Lynching In Michigan
Mioe, jlieb., Nov. 10. - There are two men now in jail here who may be taken out and lynclied if the townspeople do not cool down. They are Joseph Rossi, a woodsman who pounJod John Fo wier, of Faiiview so that hu may die, and Albert Beadie, also a woodsman, who coramitted an assault on Pauline Burcleff, a Germán girl. She had been to Potts, and was followed fron) there over the Au Sable river bridge by Beadie, where he attaeked her. The girl fought furiously and succeeded in defending herself, but in revenge he mutilated her terribly and pounded and kickad her into msensibility. She is still alive, but her recovery is doubtful.
