Chicago, Nov. 20.- Tbe annual meeting of tbe National Cattle Growers' aawciation was held Tuesday morning at tbo Grand Pacific hotel. W. A. Towers of Kansas City was elected chairman, and A. K. Saunders, of The Breeders' Gazette, secretary. Mayor Roche welcomed the association to Chicago in a short speech. H. H. Hines, of Michigan, representing a cotnmittee appointed to investígate the contagión of Texas fever read a paper giving the results of several experimenta Mr. Pickerel, president of the American Short Hora Breeders' association, followed wïth a paper on the sanie subject.
