Chicago, Nov. 23.- The news of Gen. Newberry's reappomtment as postmaster of this city in p ace of S. Corning Judd, reached here Friday morning. It was at flrst made light of by those supposed to be ested, but it was found on inquiry that the position was tendered to him a few days a;o, and that he had decided to accept Prom one of Gen. Newberry'3 closest friends comes the statement that the general has not only notified the president of his acceptauce, but has made arrangement to take charge of the office on Dec. 1.
