He Doesn't Like Bull-dogs
A good story is told on one of the officers here who drove to Wayne one night recently and pulled up in front ot a hotel, which he a?serted was the place where he always put up. Together with bis companion, he alighted f rom the buggy and started to rouse up the hotel. "Say! "let'sgo on" broke in the othcer, looking timoiously toward a window of the house. "Look ?t those two bull-dogs, I don't want to, stop here." Off the officials started f or a second hotel and retired. When morning dawned and tne offlcers again came in front of the hotel where they originally intended tostop, they saw the bull-dogs still in the window and in exactly the same positiou. They were paper dogs.
