Christmas At The County Farm

Among the festivities of the week was a Chrlstmas tree at the county ïouse Wednesday, given bv St. Anrewschurch. The services were conducted by Rev. William Galpiu and about thirty from this city were presnt. The tree held the gifts of handjerchiefs, neckties and other useful aricles for the inmates who were also upplied with nuts, oranges, candies and apples. The tree was quickly stripped of its gifts and everybody seemed well pleased. üne little boy, still in resses, was disconsolate however beause he hadn't received a doll,until he was promised that one would be sent ïim right away. St. Andrews church ïas had a Christmas tree at the county ïouse every year, since the custom was naugurated by Bishop Gillespie, while ectorhere.
