A Scorcher At Cincinnati

Cincinnati, O., Dec. 2ti. - Fire, which origínate j yesterday morning in the rope walk of the Charles C. Jacobs Cordage company, ciiused a loss of $300,01)0 before it was extinguished. The Sames destroyed factories and dwellings covering three acres of ground. The cordage company's building is at the corner of Budd aud Harriet streets. The fire starled in a place where tar and other combustible material fed the flames, and they soon spread to the large stable oL the works and the platform of the Cineinnati, Hamilton & Daytoa railroad, whose tracks were alongside the rope walk for over 300 feet. Eight box and four flat cars on the railroad caught fire. Pitcher Radbourn, of Bioomington, Illa, hassigned a Boston wntract.
