She has won )ier position as the leading cotnedienne of the Englisb stage by purely legitimate niethods. There was nothing strained, nothing forced in her acting. which was true to nature throughout. She was heartily applauded, the applause being emphasized with floral offerings at the end of the second act. She costunies magniücently and lier dresses are displayed most ádvantageously, a feature of the entertainment that will be sure to attract during her stay in JtJoston. lier appearance in the earlier part of the evening was the sigual for a burst of hearty applause, which was followed by a doublé recaii at the close of everv act. Mr. J. Uolville, Mr. Burr Mclntosh, Mr. Frauk Mordaunt, Mr. Racous and Miss Mpud Ilosford were each satisfactory in the parts assigned them in the support.
