Miles Quiets The Indians

.PISE KIDGE, S. JU., Jan. 21.- Gen. Miles has succeeded in allaying to a great extent the excitement under which the Indians labored Monday. Late in the day he called a number of the chiefs together and explained to them how the Few Tails killing was committed, and assured them that both himself and the army considered it a cold-blooded and brutal murder, and the army was in no manner responsible forit.
