Living in Washington in the home founded by W. W. Corcoran for elderly women of southern birth is Miss Graham, better known as "Aunt Hartley." She has the reputation of being one of the late George Bancroft's especial friends, and few pleasant days passed without their meeting. Miss Graham Li a charming taiker. and enjoys relating incidents of her granduncle, Mark Catesby, the noted naturalist of the Eghteenth century. She has the friendship of many Washington celebrities, and corresponda with Mrs. Jefferson Davis.
