Parker Mill County Park Brochure
"Surviving as one of the oldest mills in Washtenaw County, Parker Mill is the last of at least 5 former mill sites along Fleming Creek. It was named for the Parker family who built the grist mill in 1873 and the adjacent cider mill in 1887. For nearly 90 years the grist mill produced flour for the family's needs and for neighboring farms. In 1983, WCPARC acquired 26 acres of the former Park farm, and with mill restoration completed in 1984, Park Mill County Park opened to the public!
Today, the grist mill is operable and contains original milling machinery left behind when the Parkers ceased operations in the late 1950s. The cider mill has been converted into a small museum, and a restored log cabin, built in the 1870s, is also located on the property."
