Four local youths are handed trophies for their victories in the state model airplane contest held in Detroit. Officials of the Plymouth Motor Division of Chrysler Corp. presented the trophies yesterday afternoon to the youths in the Hockett Sales Co. building. Left to right are James Wickert, regional manager of De Soto, Bill Riskey of 2806 Heather Way, Reginald Chamness of 1103 Berkshire Rd., Erwin (Duke) Wallaker, of 1629 Traver St., Ray Waggoner, of 3333 Geddes Rd., Alex Sedoff, Plymouth district manager, and Leo M. Biggs, owner of the Hockett Sales Co.

Dailey also won first place in the stunt model competition. Scale models are judged on their faithfulness to the actual model and on their ability to fly.

ANN ARBOR DOG WINS FIRST PRIZE: This 11-month-old cocker spaniel, "Let's Play" won first place in the American bred black female class at the dog show sponsored by the Jaxon Kennel Club of Jackson. Owned by Mr. and Mrs. Harold G. Ristine, 580 Allison Dr., Ann Arbor, the dog was shown by Don Webb of Ypsilanti (above), handler and trainer. Let's Play was sired by Rennard's First Chance of Plymouth, and her dam is Lady In Red VI, owned by the Ristines.
