GIRL AGAINST BOYS: As part of physical fitness week activities at Slauson Junior High School, Francea Kraker (right), a ninth grader, was pitted against two ninth grade boys, Bruce Hahn (left) and John Rood (center) yesterday in a 600-yard run. The boys out-ran Francea but she made a good showing. John won the race in 1:31.5. Francea's time was 1:39. Many pupils in the school watched the race and made bets on who would win, according to Mrs. Elizabeth Simmons, Francea's physical education teacher. Francea, who is an exceptionally fast runner for a girl, is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R. F. Kraker of 517 E. Ann St.
