Bill Twining, Pioneer High's leading rusher, turns the corner for eight yards in first-half action against Trenton last night as guard Steve Burkhart, a two-way player, comes up from behind. Twining picked up a total of 67 yards to lead the ground assault but Trenton posted a 30-14 victory in the non-league contest.

"O. Herbert Ellis is shown directing an experiment this morning at Pioneer High School with some baby chicks. Ellis received the George O. Ross Memorial Award last night as Ann Arbor's most outstanding teacher for 1969. This was the fourth annual Ross Award presented by the Ann Arbor Education Association.
