Jerry Jones, a member of the AFL Laborers Local 959, pickets activities at the city's Baldwin Ave. curb and gutter construction site. A union spokesman said the picketing began when the A.F. Thompson Co., local sidewalk construction firm, failed to hire union men or pay union scale wages to its employees. Picketing of the job has continued since Wednesday.
