Waiting For First Customer: Sheriff Douglas J. Harvey (left) and Edwards F. Flynn wait at a barber chair for the first County Jail inmate to receive a "professional" haircut. The sheriff hired Flynn yesterday as the jail's first official barber-deputy. The Ypsilanti Township man has been a barber for 20 years. He was hired in the wake of a $200,000 damage suit filed against harvey by eight University students who had their hair cut by jail trusties last February.
