Kathy White, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles K. White of 1705 Shadford, practically bowls Keith Smillie over, as she slides down the bannister in front of Angell Hall in a wool jumper which features a plaid top, hip-hugging belt and a culotte-type skirt. She complements it with a gold turtleneck sweater and lace tights. Keith, the son of Dr. and Mrs. John W. Smillie of 1335 Fairlane, sports fine wale corduroy slim-cut levis, a V-neck cable sweater and a reversible nylon and wool jacket. Kathy and Keith will be seventh and eighth graders, respectively, at Tappan Junior High.

LEERING HORSE: Some of the huge balloon figures, particularly large ferocious ones like this horse, frightened some of the small fry who crowded along the line of march. Paraders had some strenuous exercise "riding" or "chaperoning" their large charges. By the end of the parade, many were almost too tired to lunge the amusing animal figures at the appreciative spectators, young and old. (Other pictures on page 24.)
